Clare Toms is a visual artist based between Melbourne and Mexico, working within photography, installations and primarily, painting. Recently working on still-lifes, she uses these to explore themes of intangible and physical transience and our interconnectedness with the environment. Her time travelling informs her work and she uses this to assist in the process of concept development. Her works have been exhibited as part of a travelling exhibition which traversed the Trans-Siberian Railway (Beijing to Moscow) and also in Mexico with an installation piece being included in a Mexico City Arts Festival (1).
